Adoption Agreement
Godspeed Horse Hostel, Inc. herein referred to as Godspeed Horse Hostel agree to the adoption of foal, foals, horse or horses under the following terms.
The adopter shall provide yearly preventive inoculations, parasite control, dentistry; hoof care and veterinary care for illness or injury. The adopter shall notify Godspeed Horse Hostel of accidental or natural death of their horse. Where euthanizing is necessary, a veterinarian must administer it.
A barn, stable, or three-sided roofed structure must be provided for shelter. A safe and secure pasture, paddock or corral must be provided for exercise.
Stallions must be gelded and breeding of mares is prohibited. A veterinarian certificate of gelding or a receipt of gelding services must be sent to Godspeed Horse Hostel within 2 years from date of the foal’s birth.
The horse can be returned to Godspeed Horse Hostel if the adopter is financially unable to care for the horse or if the horse is no longer wanted or needed. Arrangements must be made in advance with Godspeed Horse Hostel for return.
Location changes of the horses must be filed with Godspeed Horse Hostel and we reserve the right to check-in on the adoptee without advanced notice.
Default of any terms or conditions written herein, Godspeed Horse Hostel is authorized to take possession of, seize and retain ownership of said animal(s) named herein.
Godspeed Horse Hostel board members, their heirs, agents and employees are indemnified and held harmless from all claims, losses, costs, damages or expenses arising from any phase of the adoption process.
The adoption fee ranges from $3,500 to $6,000 depending on breed, color, and training.
